Tilt Up Panel Course Perth is for participants with the required safe tilt up construction work knowledge prior to entering tilt up construction workplaces or sites.

This course addresses the outcomes required for safe precast concrete and tilt-up work induction training within the construction industry, and is suitable for individuals requiring access to any construction industry workplace or sites.

Where Can This Qualification Take You?

In WA this course is a mandatory requirement for anyone wishing to work on a site where precast concrete and tilt up work is being carried out.

Prerequisites & Course Requirements

  • Persons must be 18 years of age or older
  • Photo ID must be presented i.e. current drivers licence, passport or proof of age card.
  • Basic numeracy skills.
  • Basic English language and literacy
  • USI Number
  • Appropriate clothing (Hi Vis shirt, long pants, with steel cap boots)

How Is the Course Delivered?

The CPCCOM1016 course is delivered through face-to-face training, on site at your preferred suitable location, ensuring you gain hands-on experience in a controlled environment.

The course is designed to be completed in up to four (4) hrs, giving you theoretical knowledge.

What Will You Learn?

Identify precast or tilt-up construction and risk management processes:

  • Identify sequence of tasks and activities for each stage of planned precast or tilt-up construction process, and typical faults, problems and hazards.
  • Identify basic principles of risk management and responsibilities of duty holders for planned precast or tilt-up construction process.
  • Identify methods and procedures used to control precast or tilt-up construction hazards, including the content of a job safety analysis, work plan and/or work health and safety management plan, and safe work method statement.
  • Identify procedures for responding to, rectifying and reporting faults, problems, and hazards.

Identify own role and responsibilities in the precast or tilt-up construction process:

  • Identify own role and responsibilities and those of others relevant to the precast or tilt-up construction process.
  • Identify regulatory requirements relevant to own role and responsibilities in the precast or tilt-up construction process.
  • Identify general work procedures, documentation, drawings and plans for carrying out precast or tilt-up construction process relevant to own role and responsibilities.
  • Identify general safety requirements for equipment and tools used in the precast or tilt-up construction process relevant to own role and responsibilities.
  • Communicate with relevant persons to establish that key safety requirements have been met before undertaking own work associated with the precast or tilt-up construction process.

Course Structure and Assessment

Students will be assessed through scenario-based assessments, written or verbal questioning.

This comprehensive assessment process ensures you are fully competent in all aspects of the updated requirements outlined in the WHS Regulations, Code of Practice and Australian Standards on Tilt Up Panel requirements before being awarded your qualification.

Licensing and Certification

Upon successful completion of this unit, you will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for:

High Risk Training Academy (HRTA), deliver and assess this course under a third-party agreement with Harness Training RTO #40521.

Certificates are issued by Harness Training after all documentation has been submitted and course fees paid.
